Whether you're at the yurt for a couples getaway or bringing the kids for a family "glamping" trip there is space for 4 in the yurt and plenty of land for tenting outside the yurt.
The most comfortable option for sleeping is the futon that doubles as the living room couch. To switch the futon from sit mode to sleep lift up on the area you sit and the back will fall flat. For AirBnB guests, pillows and sheets are located in coffee table box, the armoire, and the blankets on the back of the futon can be used as a comforter. If the forecast is calling for a colder night there are bulkier sleeping bags in the armoire that can be unzipped and used as a second layer comforter. This means if you plan on using the cots for a 3rd or 4th person on a colder evening, bring extra blankets.
There are two foldable cots hanging behind the futon that can be setup for 2 more guests. We recommend a sleeping bag and pad for the cots.
For guests who are light sleepers: the yurt is about 75 feet away from ME-26, a major thoroughfare for eastbound traffic to the Maine coast and westbound for access to northern NH, VT, and Canada. Overall road noise forms a bell curve with the majority of it being during daylight hours. Things quiet down at night but there is an occasional car or truck that may disturb sensitive sleepers. Some find that bringing ear plugs solves this problem.
